Adrian “Adrian” Ma has joined Team Liquid as their new support, the organization announced Wednesday. Adrian played for Phoenix1 for the first part of the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split, and has been transferred to TL for the remainder of the season. Liquid is currently dead last in the NA LCS standings, with a 3-9 record, and recently made significant roster moves in an attempt to qualify for playoffs in the final weeks of the split. Liquid moved veteran AD carry Chae “Piglet” Gwang-jin to mid lane then signed former Team Liquid Academy mid laner Jung “Youngbin” Young-bin as their AD carry for Week 6. Late Tuesday night, Liquid announced they were benching Youngbin in favor of former Team SoloMid AD carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng. “We believe that with our two new additions, Doublelift and Adrian, we can bounce back to form and avoid relegation,” Liquid CEO Steve Arhancet said in a press release. “This has been a turbulent split for our team but we hope our fans know that we are doing everything we can to improve.” Phoenix1 later confirmed Team Dignitas substitute support William “Stunt” Chen would replace Adrian on the team. Liquid will continue to field Matthew “Matt” Elento for Week 7 of the Spring Split, while Adrian will offer “options for the remainder of the split” for Liquid’s coaches. “I’m very excited to be joining Team Liquid,” Adrian said in a press release. “While the team’s performance has been below expectations this split, I see massive potential in this roster and I hope to help us get better one day at a time. Hopefully Matt and I can push each other to improve and give our team the best chance of winning.” Adrian currently has the third-highest KDA of all support players in the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split at 3.8. Meanwhile, Matt has the lowest KDA of all supports in the league at 2.3, tied with Stunt who played a total of three games for Team Dignitas. [hkes_show_google_ad]
