One of the MVPs of the match, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik  spoke at length about his support player Lee “Wolf” Jae-wan during the post match interview with OGN casters Lee “CloudTemplar” Hyun-woo and Kim Dong-jun. “[Wolf] usually makes very good plays that tend to go unnoticed, and perhaps it’s because the position itself tends to work out that way,” he said. “He’s in his fifth year as a pro, so he’s pretty much come to peace with it, and he just deals with it by saying, ‘I’m a support.’ With the new videos and stuff made for those players with 1,000 career kills, we’ve been talking about if there (should) be something similar for supports, like 10,000 assists or something. I hope support players also get some of the love. Every position is important in League, even more so in competitive team games. Although he doesn’t get noticed, he plays well so I hope he gets some MVP points.” Accolades such as 1,000 kills and MVP points tend to be rewarded mostly to SKT’s playmakers, while the topic of Wolf’s lack of MVP points is often brought up as a joke, as he’s 25th with 300 points. Wolf also talked about it in his appearance on “Weekly LCK,” as he said he wished he could get some of the attention his teammates receive. MVP points are awarded to the most valuable players of the winning teams in each match, but they tend to gravitate to players who make flashy, game-changing plays, while the solid and more consistent plays tend to go more unnoticed. Support players mostly fall in the latter category, although an exception rose in MVP’s support Jeong “Max” Jong-bin, who has been turning heads with unorthodox support picks such as Vel’koz, Sion, and Elise.
