Jakub “Cinkrof” Rokicki has replaced Kim “Wisdom” Tae-wan as Origen’s starting jungler, the organization announced Monday, and will start this week for the team. Wisdom’s departure from the roster was confirmed earlier in the morning in a tweet by the organization, with a note that roster news was to follow later Monday afternoon. The announcement explained that he would return to Korea instead of staying with the team as a substitute. Cinkrof is so far untested at the highest levels of League of Legends. The Polish jungler was a member of ThunderX3 Baskonia, who compete in the Spanish Liga de Videojuegos Profesional SuperLiga Orange. Lauri “Cyanide” Happonen will act as the team’s substitute jungler for the remainder of the split and will move to the Origen team house. Acting as a support substitute for the roster will be Ireneusz “Iluzjonist” Opaliński, who plays for Origen ESP in LVP SuperLiga Orange. Origen will play two matches this week, one of which is against Team Vitality. That match is a must-win if OG want to avoid the promotion tournament and possible relegation. Losing that game and winning the remaining matches would at best tie VIT’s record, which would ultimately mean a fifth-place finish due to the head-to-head score between the two teams. Even if OG wins, it’s still a difficult road. They would still be a win back from Vitality and need to outpace them in the final stretch of the split. Interestingly, besides their head-to-head matchups, both teams will play Splyce, H2k-Gaming and Unicorns of Love for the other three remaining matches. [hkes_show_google_ad]
