Echo Fox has parted ways with head coach David “Cop” Roberson, the organization announced Tuesday.“First of all, I’d like to thank Rick for giving me the opportunity to be a part of Echo Fox,” said Cop in a statement. “I’ve learned so many different things about developing my coaching style and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting all the wonderful people at Echo Fox. I wish them the best of luck in the future and hope to see them succeed.” Cop originally joined Echo Fox as the team’s head coach prior to the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split, helping to coach them to a 6-12 record. Prior to coaching Echo Fox, Cop coached Gravity for the 2015 Summer Split, having previously played for the team in the 2015 Spring Split. “We would like to thank Coach David “Cop” Roberson for his contributions to the Echo Fox organization,” Echo Fox League of Legends General Manager Jake Fyfe said in a statement. “After lengthy discussions, we have mutually decided to make a change in coaching.” “We thank David for his service to Echo Fox and wish him the best on the remainder of his career in eSports.” Echo Fox has not announced a replacement for Cop. The team currently holds a 1-5 record in the Summer Split, and are tied with NRG eSports for eighth place in the NA LCS. [Source: TheScore Esports]
