Team Dignitas have signed Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho and Lee “Chaser” Sang-hyun to their 2017 LCS roster, the organization announced Thursday. “Bringing world-class talent like Ssumday and Chaser onto our squad confirms our commitment to building a team for our fans and partners that dominates the global gaming landscape,” Dignitas CEO Jonathan Kem stated in a press release. “With the support of our partners at the Philadelphia 76ers, and these two new unbelievable players, we are taking Team Dignitas recruiting, development and performance to the next level.” Ssumday comes to Dig from KT Rolster, a team he helped place third in the LCK Spring Playoffs and second in Summer. KT went on to place second in the 2016 Korea Regional Finals, narrowly missing out on a spot at Worlds. Throughout both the 2016 LCK Spring and Summer splits Ssumday was the close runner up for the MVP award, being off just three games in the spring and one game in the summer. “I am excited to play overseas and help Team Dignitas raise the standard for a North American team,”Ssumday said in a press release. “I believe the Dignitas NBA ownership structure will provide the best conditions for me to focus on gaming, training and development. I am confident that, together with my Team Dignitas teammates and coaches, we will grow to become competitive on the world stage.” Chaser last played for Longzhu Gaming, but is best known for his time on the Jin Air Green Wings. In 2015, Chaser was considered one of the best junglers in the world, and was known for his play on Nidalee. While with Jin Air, Chaser helped the team re-qualify for the LCK and eventually placed second in the 2015 Korea Regional Finals. “This was an incredible opportunity to play internationally, for an ambitious organization, that wants to win. I believe my aggressive Jungling style will fit the 2017 meta well, and contribute to our success,” Chaser said in a press release. “I am excited to live in Los Angeles, make new friends, and make my mark in the NA LCS.”
