Dust II replaced by Inferno in Active Duty Group

[hkes_show_google_ad] Valve has shaken up the competitive scene right after the ELEAGUE Major, changing the active map pool to remove one of the most popular and iconic maps in Counter-Strike history. Dust II, first introduced in Counter-Strike 1.1, has been removed and replaced by Inferno, another longstanding map from the CS 1.1 era. Valve has made an official statement saying that Dust II will be removed from the competitive map pool until at least the next major. Dust II was the second most played map in the active duty pool in competitive play. Last year, Inferno was removed from the map pool and replaced by Nuke so that it could be redone and balanced accordingly. On Oct.13, that new version of Inferno was introduced to the community.
