Evil Geniuses has revealed the plan for the team’s roster following the return of Saahil “Universe” Arora. In their announcement, Evil Geniuses confirmed that both Sam “BuLba” Sosale and Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling were no longer on the team’s roster. Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg will take the 4 position and Clinton “Fear” Loomis will move to back to the 1 spot. zai had been a longtime sub with EG but left three weeks ago to join Kaipi, where he was able to take a starting role. BuLba has moved to Team Secret, but Aui’s future is unclear. The announcement from EG confirmed that they, too, were unhappy with the way Aui had been treated over his time with the organization. “Kurtis is a great player and a great person, and he deserves better than to be removed from the same organization twice within a year. That’s not how we like to do things around here, and it’s not something we’re at all proud of or take lightly,” the announcement explained. “After discussing the situation with him extensively, we’ve come to a good resolution that will compensate him appropriately for the lost time and opportunities that this situation takes from him.” Due to the roster change, EG must requalify for TI6 through open qualifiers, which start on June 21.
