ELEAGUE announced during its Street Fighter V Invitational broadcast on Friday night that it will return to Counter-Strike in September. Details were sparse, but the announcement mentioned a 16-team event that would start Sept. 1 and end in October on TBS. The event will be called the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier. Prize pool, qualification system and format were not mentioned. ELEAGUE said to stay tuned for more information about the tournament in the coming months. ELEAGUE has run two seasons of Counter-Strike and also operated the ELEAGUE Major in January. The Street Fighter V Invitational is currently in the third week of group play and will conclude later this month. Virtus.pro won the first season of ELEAGUE, with OpTic winning Season 2 and Astralis claiming the Major. Other tournaments around that time include DreamHack Malmo from Aug. 30-Sept. 3 and ESL One New York from Sept. 14-17.
