Epsilon have defeated Team X in the Pro Gamer League Summer grand final 3-0 (Train 16-6, Dust2 16-10, Cobble 16-14) to grab the title and a $50,000 cheque. After the entire group stage and semi-finals were played out on day one, day two saw the only two European teams, Epsilon and X, fighting it out in the best-of-five grand final. The Swedes ended up taking the title with a convincing win on Train (16-6), a comfortable one on Dust2 (16-10) and a down-to-the-wire Cobblestone, which went to all 30 rounds of regulation. The third-place decider was also played earlier today between top two sides in China, but the favorites from TyLoo once again proved their dominance over VG.CyberZen, winning 2-0 and taking the $20,000 prize. In the end, Ke “Mo” Liu ended up topping the charts of the entire event with a 1.31 rating, followed by 21-year-old Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså on 1.26. Interestingly, all of Epsilon’s players finished in the top10 in Rating and found their way into some of the leaders charts. Pro Gamer League Summer 2016 Finals standings:
