CSGO: ESL ONE New York SL have announced that this year’s ESL One New York event, taking place in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center from October 1-2, will feature a CS:GO tournament with $250,000 on the line. The 15,000+ seater arena Barclays Center situated in Brooklyn, New York, home of NHL’s New York Islanders, will play host to this year’s ESL One New York, which will for the first time feature CS:GO amongst the games. According to the announcement, eight of the world’s best teams will battle it out for the $250,000 prize purse in “East Coast’s biggest esports event”. Barclays Center will play host to ESL One New York ESL have also revealed the format of the tournament, which will feature double-elimination groups and a single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs bracket. With $250,000 on the line and one of the biggest venues we’ve seen in CS:GO, ESL One New York promises to be one of the most prestigious non-major tournaments of this year, alongside DreamHack’s Masters events, SL i-League StarSeries and more.
