[hkes_show_google_ad] The incredible shot calling abilities of SK Telecom T1 might actually be a lot simpler than people may have imagined. After SKT’s 2-0 victory over the bbq Olivers on Saturday, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok was invited to the post match interview with OGN casters Lee “CloudTemplar” Hyun-woo and Kim Dong-jun as the sole MVP of the match. Asked about how his team manages to make crisp team fight decisions and shot calls, Faker gave a simplistic answer. “We have two important calls to make in team fights. One is ‘we won this fight’ and the other is ‘we lost this fight,’” he said. “The rest of the fight is the team individually trying to get in and out, but those two calls I mentioned are a lot more important than it seems. Usually I make the ‘we won’ or ‘we lost’ calls, and we adjust how we fight based on that call. Most importantly, we are capable of boiling it down to such simple calls because we are all individually skilled.” One important moment Saturday came was SKT jungler Han “Peanut” Wang-ho’s incredible Baron steal and near escape. According to Faker, though Faker indicated it would have been better if Peanut had made it out alive. “The booth wasn’t really overly excited after the Baron steal, but more of ‘man he could have lived through that,’” he said. “Peanut died after the steal, and the team was collectively thinking that he could have made it out of there alive.” With Faker in first place of the MVP points standings alongside Samsung Galaxy mid laner Lee “Crown” Min-ho, CloudTemplar asked if Faker’s teammates were feeling competitive about the MVP standings, and Faker slyly pointed out one particular player. “Honestly our team is more eager to chase after MVP points over wins,” he said, smiling. “Even today, Bang threw the mouse and stuff after I got the MVP of Game 1. I think did well enough to deserve the points though.” [hkes_show_google_ad]
