FlipSid3 Tactics have bought out Jan “WayLander” Rahnkonen’s contract from Gambit Gaming ahead of their ELEAGUE debut, the organization announced Monday. “We are glad to have reached an agreement with Gambit over WayLander, and are excited to move forward with a full roster,” FlipSid3’s CEO, Dana “wuvs” Kawar, said in the press release. ” A special thank you as well to Gambit for allowing us to practice and compete full time with WayLander throughout the negotiation process.” WayLander has been standing-in for FlipSid3 since April, making his debut with the team in an ESL Pro League match against FaZe Clan. While playing for the team, he helped them qualify for The ESL One Cologne Major with wins over Renegades, Immortals and HellRaisers. WayLander joined Gambit in January, when the organization signed HS.GG’s roster, and previously played for PiTER and Courage-Gaming. WayLander was moved off of Gambit’s starting roster in April, after finishing 9th-12th at the MLG Major Championship Columbus. WayLander will make his debut as an official member of FlipSid3 at ELEAGUE, where the team has been placed in the same group as Natus Vincere, mousesports and Echo Fox. He will also be playing for the team at the ESL One Cologne Major, where FlipSid3 is in Group D alongside Na`Vi, Ninjas in Pyjamas and OpTic Gaming.
