Fnatic have traded Jesper “
JW” Wecksell, Robin “
flusha” Ronnquist and Lars “
KRIMZ” Freddy Johansson to GODSENT in exchange for Simon “
twist” Eliasson and Jonas “
Lekr0” Olofsson,
Fnatic announced Monday. Fnatic have also moved stand-in John “
wenton” Eriksson to their starting roster. “Being together in a team for a long period means that small issues can easily turn into bigger issues. These issues can then weed their way into fundamental team dynamics, affecting the chemistry needed for success,” Fnatic stated in a press release. “Over the last months something similar has been brewing inside of our team, and regardless of the efforts all parties have tried to make to resolve the internal issues, it reached a point where there was a clear division within the team. Both parties felt that it was necessary to split the team up in order for future growth, and the rebuilding of the chemistry needed for success.” JW and flusha joined Fnatic in 2013, when the organzation signed Epsilon’s roster. flusha joined one year later along with Olofmester when the pair left TEAMGLOBAL. Fnatic recently placed second in the ELEAGUE Season 1 Finals after suffering a 2-0 loss to the eventual winners, Virtus.pro. They also placed 3rd-4th at ESL One: Cologne, 3rd-4th at the ECS Season 1 finals, and 5th-8th at the Columbus Major. JW, flusha and KRIMZ will be joining fellow former Fnatic player Marcus “pronax” Wallsten on GODSENT. GODSENT’s only member that didn’t have a stint on Fnatic is Andreas “znajder” Lindberg, who came to GODSENT from Team Ancient. According to ESL’s rules for the Major, teams must maintain a majority lineup to keep their Legends status. As GODSENT have picked up three-fifths of Fnatic’s ESL One: Cologne roster, GODSENT inherits their invite to the next major. [Source: TheScore]
