Jacob “
FugLy” Medina has parted ways with Counter Logic Gaming, the player announced Friday.
(Screenshot from twitter) FugLy joined CLG on Jan 20, and after five months on the roster is now their most recent departure. As part of CLG, FugLy achieved a Top 8 finish at the MLG Major Championship: Columbus, a feat that the North American CS:GO scene has not seen since the Major at ESL One: Cologne 2014. Outside of the MLG Major, CLG has not achieved positive results. They finished in the Bottom 8 at DreamHack Masters Malmö, failed to qualify for the CEVO Gfinity playoffs and most recently they were denied a playoff spot at DreamHack Austin, as they were knocked out of the group stage by Cloud9 2-1 during the deciding match. No specific reason was given for the player’s departure, nor has he announced any plans for the future. CLG has yet to respond to requests for comment. CLG’s roster is now as follows:
- Tarik “tarik” Celik
- James “hazed” Cobb
- Stephen “Cutler” Cutler
- Josh “jdm64” Marzano
