[hkes_show_google_ad] G2 Esports sports have finalized their coaching staff for 2017 by bringing in Weldon Green as one of their assistant coaches, the team announced Sunday. “I am very excited to be working with Weldon this year. With his strengths in performance coaching and his experience working with several top LCS teams, he will be a great addition to our coaching staff,” G2 head coach Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool said. Green will be part of the four-man coaching staff for G2 in 2017, alongside head coach Youngbuck, fellow assistant coach Alexey “Sharkz” Taranda and head analyst Christopher “Duffman” Duff. Green was most recently a coach and sports psychology trainer for Team SoloMid, joining the team on May 30, 2016. TSM parted ways with Green three months later, with TSM saying that his coaching style at the time was better suited for short-term periods. Green also worked with Counter Logic Gaming and Team Liquid in the earlier parts of 2016. “Weldon’s proven experience and know-how propelled every team he has worked with towards remarkable levels of success, which, naturally, got him plenty of offers from other top North American and European clubs around the off-season period,” G2 CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago said. “Weldon will move to our Gaming House in Berlin in order to better fulfill his duties. His skillset will help our club progress towards our ambitious competitive goals. On a personal level, I am honoured to work with an individual with such strong planning, hunger and will to win.” [hkes_show_google_ad]
