North American Challenger Series team eUnited has signed Lee “GBM” Chang-seok and Choi “DanDy” In-kyu, the organization announced Wednesday. DanDy is best known for his time on Samsung White, with whom he won a world championship in 2014. Since then, he’s been playing jungle for Vici Gaming in the LPL. While he played for Vici, the team never managed to place higher than fourth in the regular season and 5th-6th in the playoffs. GBM was last signed to Team Vitality as substitute mid laner and played one series against Fnatic, which Vitality lost. Prior to that he played mid for NRG Esports in the NA LCS 2016 Spring and Summer splits. GBM says he’s excited to return to North America, and believes eUnited is strong enough to make it to the LCS this split, but also feels the region is stronger. “NA LCS is stronger than last year,” GBM said. “There are many good players, but if Bjergsen keeps staying there, it will be hard for other teams too.” “Of course I feel pressured to make LCS, but in my opinion we can do it easily,” GBM said. “Then I can play against Bjergsen again.” eUnited finished first in the 2017 NA CS regular season, then second in the playoffs, but fell 3-1 to both Team Liquid and Team EnVyUs in the promotion tournament, missing their shot at the LCS.
