Giants Gaming have signed Elias “Upset” Lipp as their new AD carry for the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split, the organization announced Thursday. “I am happy to say that I am joining Giants for the upcoming season,” Upset said in a statement. “I am keen to work with all my new teammates and staff and learn from all of them. I hope we can achieve great things in 2017 with the support of our fans and sponsors.” Upset most recently played for Nerv in the 2016 EU Challenger Series Summer Season, where the team placed sixth with a 0-2-3 record. During his time on the team, Upset secured a 2.14 KDA on champions such as Ezrael, Caitlyn and Sivir. Only Morgan “Hustlin” Granberg and Na “NighT” Gun-woo remained on Giants after the LCS summer season, where the team placed third with a 8-3-7 record before falling in the quarterfinals of the playoffs to Unicorns of Love. In rebuilding the team, Giants have signed top laner Olof “Flaxxish” Medin, but have yet to sign a jungler. The announcement said they plan to reveal their final recruit in the near future.
