SK Telecom T1 faced the Jin Air Green Wings Wednesday and dominated their Week 1 set. Thrilled with their 2-0 victory, top laner Seunghoon “Huni” Heo and jungler Wangho “Peanut” Han sat down with InvenGlobal to discuss how it felt to win their first match with SKT. “I’m happy to have won our first match of the season with a 2-0 record, and I’m even happier to have won my first match in the LCK,” said Huni. “It feels better for me to be playing in Korea since it’s less stressful to be playing together with world-class players, and it’s good to have many fans cheering for me.” While both Huni and Peanut were signed by SKT heading into this split, Peanut competed in the LCK last year with the ROX Tigers, making it to the semifinals of the 2016 World Championship. He said that he has set the bar high for himself and is determined to prove himself on SKT. “I’m assuming that my performance with ROX Tigers was good enough to prove that I’ll be worth of SKT. I’ll make sure to do even better in the future,” promised Peanut. On the differences between ROX and SKT, Peanut focused most on the team house atmosphere. “ROX Tigers did feel more lively, but I think it’s because SKT has two different houses for practicing and relaxing,” Peanut stated. “Also, having ups and downs in mood depending on scrim results is the same for all teams.” Heading into the rest of the season, both players are confident in SKT’s ability to dominate the spring split. “We have many more tricks up our sleeve,” teased Huni, “But they are confidential for now. I’ll just say that I’m second to none when it comes to champion pool.” [hkes_show_google_ad]
