With one League Champions Korea championship and a Mid-Season Invitational trophy in hand, SK Telecom T1 top laner Heo “Huni” Seung-Hoon said he looks forward to adding another. Huni said in a video interview with Fomos he’s aiming to recreate the same feat he accomplished while a part of Fnatic in the European League of Legends Championship Series: winning winning two splits in a row. “The team is looking to win the split to write a scenario of further perfection, and I want to try and win two championships in a row because when I achieved that in Europe, it felt great,” he said. “If I could feel that in Korea as well, it would be amazing, and I want to keep running toward a world championship as well.” Although the team recently triumphed over the competition at MSI, Huni said that there was a moment when coach Kim “kkOma” Jung-gyun had to be careful about what he said to the team after the game loss against G2 Esports in the finals. “He didn’t say much when we won the championship, but when we lost the one game he did say some things to us,” he said. “He couldn’t say anything too harsh because in the room we were in there was a microphone. He did tell me and the rest of the team that we needed to play better because there were really points that we made a lot of mistakes, which led to that one loss. I think I gave it my best so I feel great.” SKT made one small roster change before the LCK summer split, as Kim “Profit” Jun-hyung left to join Europe’s Ninjas in Pyjamas. Former CJ Entus member Park “Untara” Ui-jin will take his place. Huni said that Profit’s departure was disappointing because they “were helping one another out and giving each other motivation,” but also said that he was looking forward to forging a similar dynamic with Untara.
