Eight North American teams will compete for $16,000 from July 16-17 this weekend in the online iBUYPOWER 2016 Summer Invitational. iBUYPOWER have hosted a number of season-based Invitational tournaments since the beginning of last year, with the latest occurrence being Cloud9 winning the $16,000 2016 Spring Invitational back when Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir was on the team. The upcoming iBUYPOWER 2016 Summer Invitational will also offer up $16,000 for two days of online CS:GO action, from July 16-17. This time around there will be eight teams competing via a best-of-three, single elimination bracket, with quarter-finals on the first day and semifinals and the grand final on the second day. Stewie2K’s Cloud9 are reigning champions from the previous iBP Invitational The tournament will be run through CEVO’s platform and broadcast by CEVO-TV.
