
Gu “Imp” Seung-bin has re-signed with LGD Gaming, the organization announced Tuesday. Imp joined LGD in November 2014 after winning the 2014 World Championship as part of Samsung White. While with LGD, he helped the team place first in the 2015 LPL Summer Playoffs and qualify for the 2015 World Championships, where the team failed to make it out of their group. The team have struggled ever since, placing 7th-8th in the 2016 LPL Spring Playoffs and falling to fifth in the their group in the 2016 summer regular season, forcing them to re-qualify for the LPL by defeating Newbee in the promotion tournament. For his part, Imp finished the summer season with a 3.2 KDA, the second-lowest among LPL AD carries who played more than 30 games that season. He also finished the season with 111 deaths, the second-highest of all LPL AD carries that season. Imp is the first former member of Samsung White’s starting roster to confirm that he is staying in China in 2017. After winning worlds, the players split up among various Chinese LoL teams, but many of them ha left the region in the 2016 offseason. Jang “Looper” Hyeong-seok is joining Echo Fox in the NA LCS while Heo “PawN” Won-seok and Cho “Mata” Se-hyoung are joining KT Rolster in the LCK. Choi “DanDy” In-kyu has yet to announce whether or not he is staying with EDward Gaming.
