KaKAO joins Misfits

Former LCK jungler Lee “KaKAO” Byung-kwon has joined Misfits with a two-year contract, according to an announcement on social media. The 21-year-old Korean started his career with KT Rolster, playing on both the Arrows and Bullets rosters between 2012 and 2014. While with the Arrows, he was named the MVP of HOT6iX Champions Summer 2014 after the team defeated Samsung Blue 3-2 to win the tournament. In December 2014, he made the jump to the LPL by joining Invictus Gaming, coming in third in both the 2015 spring and summer LPL playoffs. In January 2016, he moved on to LSPL team Wan Yoo, but the team was relegated after falling to 13th in the spring season with a 13-17 record and losing to Star Horn Royal Club in the spring relegation tournament. However, the team purchased MF Gaming’s LSPL seed in May in order to compete in the summer season and rebranded from Wan Yoo to WYDream. The team in came in tenth in the LSPL summer season, putting them once again up for relegation, however they managed to defeat Revenger and Oh My Dream to keep their slot for 2017.
