Longzhu defeated Ever8 Winners 2-0 in Tuesday’s League Champions Korea match, giving them their fifth win of the summer split. In an interview with Inven’s Shin Yeon-jae, PraY reflected on what it means to be a pro gamer for so long. “It feels good to win (on) a meaningful day,” he said. “Since pro-gamers have short careers, the fans congratulate me more each year. I’ll work hard to celebrate a six year, seven year anniversary.” PraY also said he was happy with the rookie players on his team. Kim “Khan” Dong-ha has been a strong top laner in the early part of this split, and PraY had high praise for him. “Khan is a ball of good luck that found his way onto the team,” he said. “He knows how to make proactive plays. I think he’s one of the top three top laners in the league.” Khan and jungler Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan have been acknowledged as the playmakers of the new Longzhu, and PraY seemed happy to admit they are great additions. Although he said that he does want to get MVP nods “because I find interviews to be fun,” he said “it isn’t bad to give the rookie players interview practice” for the future. With a record of 5-2, Longzhu will close the first half of the summer split by playing the Afreeca Freecs and Samsung Galaxy. PraY says his team has a good chance of making it to the League of Legends World Championship, and he intends to be one of the strongest teams this split. “We already beat KT in the opening match of the split,” he said. “(The top three) are known as the firm top three teams of the league, but I don’t think they’re insurmountable. We could have won our match against SKT as well. The weaker teams have been somewhat established, but I think most of the teams are strong, including Afreeca, so I think the standings can change.”
