SK Telecom T1 coach Kim “kkOma” Jung-gyun took a rare moment to praise the players on his team. SKT won its sixth League Champions Korea title on Saturday, taking down rival KT Rolster in a clean 3-0. In an interview with OSEN’s Ko Yong-jun, kkOma took his time to praise his players and said that he doesn’t expect players like Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, and Lee “Wolf” Jae-wan to take the rift again. “I’ve worked with some of the players for five years now,” he said. “It’s not easy to be the best laner. A lot of time and hard work goes into showing good performances. I want to say thank you to Faker, Bang, and Wolf. I don’t think there will be another player (like them) who stays consistently at the top again. They work hard with a sense of responsibility with what is in front of them. I hope the fans notice the hard work that isn’t immediately visible.” KkOma also had high praise for SKT’s jungler Kang “Blank” Sun-gu, and though he didn’t play against KT, kkOma said Blank “helped us whenever we were in trouble during the spring split,” and that he was a great asset for the team in practice. Looking forward to the coming competition in the Mid-Season Invitation as Korea’s representative and even further into the League of Legends World Championship, kkOma had a simple but strong sentiment to share. “I am happy that the finals worked out the way we prepared it to,” he said. “I want to win MSI and worlds this year. We will win.”
