Koo “KonKwon” Hyuk has retired from professional League of Legends, he announced on Twitter Thursday.KonKwon was most recently playing for Apex Pride in the Challenger Series, but last played in the LCS for NRG eSorts during the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split and Team Coast in the 2015 NA Challenger Series Summer Split. During the 2016 NA CS Summer Split, KonKwon put up a 3.46 KDA across ten games, with his highest win-rate on Nami. While with NRG, KonKwon finished fifth in the spring split, then placed 5th-6th in the spring playoffs. Apex Pride finished the 2016 NA Challenger Series Summer Split in sixth place, locking them out of the playoffs. On Twitter, KonKwon responded to fans who asked why he was retiring, saying “I think I’m not good enough to be where I want to be.” KonKwon’s announcement comes just after Apex Pride lost their tiebreaker match against Dream Team.
