Cloud9’s NA LCS assistant coach Kublai “Kubz” Barlas has left the organization. In a TwitLonger post made on Thursday, Kubz said that he and C9 mutually agreed to part ways after “it became quite apparent that my skill set was not going to be required with the additions and changes they have made to their coaching staff. ” Cloud9 added former EDward Gaming head coach Bok “Reapered” Han-Gyu in May, alongside Royce “Bubbadub” Newcomb as lead analyst and Kubz as assistant coach. Prior to joining C9, Kubz was the head coach for EU Challenger team Huma. “In my opinion, Cloud9 has one of the strongest coaching staffs that I have ever seen a North American team,” Kubz wrote in the TwitLonger. “And I have no doubt that they will be able to qualify for this season’s World Championship.” Kubz said that he will be taking a job with Vantage Sports, an analytics software company.
