The schedule for League of Legends Champions Korea Summer 2016 has been released and will begin on May 25. Coke Zero has been announced as the title sponsor, and the season is to be called the 2016 Coca-Cola Zero LCK Summer. Coke is no stranger to LoL esports, having previously sponsored the 2014 World Championship in Korea as well as the North American Challenger Series in 2014. This will be the first season that the broadcast is split between Champions founder OnGameNet and SpoTV with a new schedule spanning six days a week. Each week will have nine matches with one match per day on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday will have two matches per day for a total of 90 series across the season — the exact same amount as prior LCK seasons. Each team will play 18 series. The Afreeca Freecs and Longzhu Gaming will kick off the first match of the season next Wednesday, broadcast by OGN. SpoTV will broadcast CJ Entus versus ESC Ever, also on Wednesday, May 25. LCK Spring runner-up ROX Tigers take on Samsung Galaxy on May 26, MVP plays KT Rolster on May 27, and the week concludes with the Jin Air Green Wings and Longzhu Gaming on Saturday, May 28. All but the CJ-Ever match will be broadcast by OGN.
