[hkes_show_google_ad] Austin “
Link” Shin has joined Team Liquid’s NA LCS roster and will share mid laner duties with Greyson “
Goldenglue” Gilmer. Link’s addition to the team was announced by Team Liquid in a video Thursday, while Yahoo Esports revealed that Team Liquid head coach David Lim confirmed that the two mid laners would share duties on the roster. Before that, he was listed in Riot Games’ official contract database. Link left the competitive scene in May 2015 after publishing an 18-page document about his struggles with his former team, Counter Logic Gaming, which is popularly known as the Donezo Manifesto. The manifesto explained many of the issues he encountered during his time on Counter Logic Gaming. He made a brief reappearance in esports in Dota 2 as a player for the fan-favorite Vegetables Esports Club as they participated in open qualifiers for The International 2016. Link was also active in the competitive scene for the original DotA and was working on commentary for that game. Liquid’s NA LCS roster is now as follows:
- Samson “Lourlo” Jackson (top laner)
- Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin (jungler)
- Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer (mid laner)
- Austin “Link” Shin (mid laner)
- Chae “Piglet” Gwang-jin (AD carry)
- Matthew “Matt” Elento (support)
