John “Papa Chau” Le, Michael “k2soju” Zhang and Josh “Impactful” Mabrey have all been suspended for Elo boosting, Riot Games stated in an official ruling on Thursday. While Riot did not state when these three players boosted other players’ accounts, they determined that Impactful boosted “significantly more” than the other two players. As a result, Papa Chau and k3soju have been banned for three months — the minimum under Riot’s global penalty index — while Impactful has been banned for four. Papa Chau was already replaced by Tore “Norskeren” Hoel on Dream Team as he was banned right before Week 2 of the North American Challenger Series Spring Split. Eanix recently added Oleksii “RF Legendary” Kuziuta and Adam “Bodydrop” Krauthaker, with RF Legendary replacing k3soju. Riot stated that while these players were banned earlier in the month, the company wanted to complete their Elo boosting investigation before formally announcing the bans.
