[hkes_show_google_ad] Professional Esports Association Commissioner Jason Katz is leaving the organization amidst a reorganization of its management structure, PEA announced Friday. In the statement, the PEA states that Katz, as well as additional unnamed staff, are departing the organization in the wake of the reorganization. The PEA Board of Governors “will directly manage PEA affairs while a decision is made about a new organizational structure” and has created sub-committees to further manage its business. Katz was the commissioner of the PEA since the creation of the organization in summer 2016. Katz’ tenure was surrounded in controversy, as players fought back against alleged plans to prevent players playing in the PEA’s proposed CS:GO league from playing in ESL’s Pro League. The PEA subsequently suspended plans for their CS:GO league in January following a player vote that saw teams choose to participate in the EPL over the PEA’s proposed league. [hkes_show_google_ad]
