Cloud9 has taken home two end-of-split awards this season, with Hangyu “Reapered” Bok recieveing the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split Coach of the Split award, and jungler Juan “Contractz” Garcia winning the Rookie of the Split award. Contractz joined C9’s main roster in December, when the team kept him on after selling Cloud9 Challenger’s LCS spot and its players to FlyQuest. Contractz finished the regular season with a 3.7 KDA, the second highest KDA across all junglers who played more than 20 games during the split. Contractz also had the most assists of any jungler. Reapered has been C9’s coach since May 2016, and helped the team place second in the 2016 NA LCS Summer Playoffs and 5th-8th at the 2016 League of Legends World Championship. C9 finished the 2017 Spring Split in second place with a 14-4 record, and are set to face off against Phoenix1 in the playoffs.
