[hkes_show_google_ad] Team EnVyUs have picked up former G2 player Cédric “RpK” Guipouy alongside newcomers Alexandre “xms” Forté and David “devoduvek” Dobrosavljevic. The announcement was made Saturday, along with confirmation nV had agreed to “basic transfer terms” with G2 Esports for players Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, Kenny “kennyS” Schrub and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire. “We are excited to welcome long time veteran Cédric ‘RPK‘ Guipouy,” said nV in a news release. “Christophe “SIXER” Xia returns and Vincent “Happy” Cervoni will continue to captain the roster. We welcome the challenge of assisting young players in Alexandre “xms” Forté and David “devoduvek” Dobrosavljevic so that they can have a springboard into top level competition.” Despite winning the DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca Major in 2015, nV’s performance steadily declined throughout 2016, though they pulled off a first place finish at WESG 2016. At the ELEAGUE Major 2017, the cracks in the foundation of nV’s roster showed. The team was unable to make it out of the Group Stage, placing in the bottom eight. NBK, kennyS and apEX voiced their wishes to leave nV and join G2 thereafter. “The players on our team have always received our undivided attention and with that, we have respected the wishes and decisions of NBK, kennyS and apEX to make a change,” said nV in their release. “A tough, but necessary decision given the status and performance of the team in recent times. “We wish those players health and happiness as they continue on in their careers.” The new roster of Team EnVyUs is as follows:
  • Vincent “Happy” Cervoni
  • Christophe “SIXER” Xia
  • Cédric “RPK” Guipouy
  • Alexandre “xms” Forté
  • David “devoduvek” Dobrosavljevic
