In a separate Tweet, s1mple cited visa issues as the reason he would not be able to attend. s1mple stated that the two- to three-week period it would take to sort out his visa would mean he’d miss DreamHack Austin, as well as the ESL Pro League Finals, should Liquid qualify. Team Liquid is currently seventh in the ESL Pro League standings, with one week left until the season ends. The Top 4 teams will qualify for the Finals. It is unknown who TL will field in Austin without s1mple. Recently, the team started Erid “adreN” Hoag at DreamHack Masters Malmö and the MLG Major Championship Columbus over Kenneth “koosta” Suen due to roster locks. adreN is still listed as TL’s official backup player, though he is currently standing in for Cloud9.
