SumaiL leaves EG

Esports Asia News
Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan has left Evil Geniuses, according to Valve’s team registration website.
The news come a day after Clinton “Fear” Loomis and Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg were released from the team. SumaiL joined EG in January 2015 after being discovered by the team through the in-house league North American Elite League (NEL). The then-15-year-old’s LAN debut at Dota 2 League Season 5 saw some lack lustre performance, but later, at the Dota 2 Asia Championship, he shone on his signature Storm Spirit. EG won DAC, solidifying himself in the Dota 2 pro scene and later won The International 2015 and carved his name on the Aegis of Champions. After adding Universe to their active roster in June, EG were forced to qualify for The International 2016 through the open and main qualifier. After qualifying, they went on to finish in third place at the tournament’s main event. SumaiL had the fourth highest KDA at The International 2016, with a KDA of 4.99, the highest of his team. Evil Geniuses’ roster now looks as follows:
  • Saahil “Universe” Arora
  • Peter “ppd” Dager
