Following a difficult 2016 season, Origen has revealed an all new roster for the new year with Max “Satorius” Günther, Erik “Tabzz” van Helvert, Kim “Wisdom” Tae-wan, Aleksi “Hiiva” Kaikkonen and Korean newcomer You “NaeHyun” NaeHyun as the team’s mid. While a previous report said that Origen team owner Enrique “xPeke” Martinez would be stepping in as his team’s starting mid laner, he confirmed in the video announcement that he would not be taking on the role. xPeke was the team’s starting mid laner in the 2015 season, leading them to the semifinals of the 2015 World Championship. While he stepped down from the starting roster for the 2016 spring split, he returned in the summer season as starting AD carry after benching Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou. NaeHyun previously shared mid with Ko “Raphael” Jae-hyun while playing with Team KungFu in the 2016 LSPL Summer Season. However the team was automatically relegated out of the league after coming in last in the season with a 2-24 record. Origen’s new ADC, Tabzz, most recently played with Millenium in the 2016 EU Challenger Series summer season, but he left the team after his contract expired in August. Tabzz accrued a 4.0 KDA in the regular season and 67.4 percent kill participation. Jungler Wisdom previously played for the KOO Tigers, joining as a substitute in May 2015 and starting for them for much of Champions Summer 2015, before making the move to Europe to play with Giants Gaming. However, he left the team after they fell to 10th place in the 2016 EU LCS spring season with a 3-15 record. He then joined Misfits in the EU Challenger Series, helping them qualify for the 2017 EU LCS Spring Split. Wisdom is joined by his former Misfits teammate, Hiiva, who also played support for Renegades: Banditos, Team Forge and most recently Millenium. Rounding out the roster is former Epsilon eSports top laner Satorius. [hkes_show_google_ad]
