LoL: NA LCS Quarterfinals
Team SoloMid defeated Cloud9 3-1 on Saturday to secure a spot in the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split Semifinals. C9 took an early lead in Game 1, winning multiple teamfights that cut down TSM again and again. Cloud9’s mid laner Jensen’s Twisted Fate and AD carry Sneaky’s Lucien refused to die as the two combined for a 16/0/14 scoreline as the boys in blue easily tore through TSM in just over 25 minutes. Game 2 was a much slower affair, with TSM slowly picking off C9 over the course of the game. These ganks allowed TSM to control the map and build up a healthy gold and objective lead before they closed out the game at the 35-minute mark. TSM continued their momentum into Game 3, dominating C9 in every engagement to decisively win the game. Bjergsen had a particularly strong performance, going 11/0/6 on Zed and earning a higher net worth than every member of C9. In Game 4, Bjergsen picked Vel’Koz to counter Jensen’s Azir. The pick paid off as Bjergsen proved to be the key player in teamfights, with TSM snowballing to a decisive victory. Svenskeren’s Graves and Yellowstar’s Braum went 11/0/8 and 0/0/18 respectively. TSM will face Immortals in the semifinals for a chance to compete in their seventh straight NA LCS Grand Finals. [Source: TheScore]
