The team were to play in the 2016 NACS Summer Qualifier, but sold their slot to Cloud9, forming Cloud9 Challenger. Cloud9 Challenger finished in first place during the 2016 NACS Summer Season with an 8-2 record and are currently in the semifinals of the Summer Playoffs, where they will face off against Dream Team in a best-of-five. The winner of that series will move on to the Grand Finals to face Team Liquid Academy, who swept Nova eSports 3-0 on Tuesday night.
