TSM beat CLG in NA LCS Semis

Esports Asia News
For the eighth time in their history, Team SoloMid are headed to the North American League Championship Series Finals after a 3-0 sweep over Counter Logic Gaming. The victory also qualifies them for the 2016 League of Legends World Championship. The series got off to a shaky start with a Game 1 remake due to an Aurelion Sol bug that caused Aurelion Sol’s orbs to be visible on a ward without Aurelion Sol present in that area. With the Star Forger disabled, mid laner Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun’s already small champion pool was further hampered and CLG was unable to find a substitute that provided similar roaming pressure. By contrast TSM found their rhythm early in all three games and appeared right at home on the new patch that favors early pressure and turret pushing. TSM top laner Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell had strong performances on both Gangplank and Gnar despite CLG’s attempts to pressure him. Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg closed out the series with two fantastic Lissandra showings, ending with the scorelines of 5/2/6 and 7/1/3 respectively, initiating and controlling teamfights in Games 2 and 3. TSM now move on to face their other long-time NA rival, Cloud9, in the 2016 NA LCS Summer Finals in Toronto on Aug. 28. CLG will take on Immortals in the third place match on Aug. 27.
