[hkes_show_google_ad] After a quick back-and-forth series against Counter Logic Gaming that ended 2-1 in favor of Team SoloMid, TSM’s Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg took to the post-game interview to talk about the series and his team’s improvements over the split. On the series, Bjergsen noted the adjustments on their dragon control as a huge way in which they turned things around. The Ivern pick from Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen was identified as another key change that helped turn the tides. “I think Ivern, especially if you’re not used to playing against him, he’s just so obnoxious,” the veteran mid laner said. “If you’re not used to that kind of Ivern play style, where he can run in and smite the camp, boom! Your buff is gone… so Ivern I think is a very powerful pick if you don’t know how to play against it.” When it comes to TSM’s slow but steady improvement, Bjergsen credits the open and honest environment. As he put it, “It’s just about keeping each other accountable and responsible, and making sure that people are doing their job. And if that means being hard on someone or being like ‘dude you really messed this up’, we have to improve on these things or do these things consistently.” It’s not just the players who have to be critical, with TSM owner Andy “Reginald” Dinh also chiming in on occasion. “Sometimes, someone like me or someone like Andy has to be like ‘yo guys, we are actually really frickin’ bad at this and we have to get better.’ Everyone wants to win, but it’s just about hearing those words….” Bjergsen went 14/4/14 across the entire series, and went deathless in the third game as Azir. He played Corki in the preceding two games against CLG. As part of a friendly wager between the two teams, who have a storied rivalry going back before the LCS’ inception, CLG’s owner George “HotshotGG” Georgallidis now has to get a temporary Henna tattoo of the TSM logo on his face the next time the teams clash in Week 6.
