Dark Passage will be fielding EU Challenger Series players Thomas “Kirei” Yuen and Sofyan “CozQ” Rechchad at the 2016 World Championship International Wild Card Qualifier instead of Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir and Rasmus “Caps” Winther, the organization announced Thursday. Dark Passage qualified for the IWCQ by winning the 2016 TCL Summer Playoffs with a 3-0 victory over SuperMassive eSports, but jungler Xerxe and midlaner Caps are too young to play in the IWCQ. Both are 16 years old, old enough to compete in the TCL, but one year too young to play at Worlds. Both Kirei and CozQ currently play for Epsilon eSports in the EU Challenger Series. Epsilon placed 3rd-4th in the 2015 EU CS Summer playoffs after placing fourth in the regular season with a 1-2-2 record. Kirei has also played for Team Dignitas in the NA LCS, last playing for the team in the 2016 Spring Split. The team placed last in the regular season with a 4-14 record, and were relegated from the LCS after an 0-3 loss to Team Dragon Knights in the promotion tournament. The 2016 IWCQ will take place from Aug. 24 to Sept. 8 in Curitiba, Brazil. [Source: TheScore]
