The Esports Observer has learnt, that one of Spain’s biggest and most successful soccer clubs, Valencia CF, pushes into esports. The six-time La Liga champion will announce its esports addition tomorrow in the Valencia CF stadium. The club allegedly wants to mark its presence in competitive FIFA, Hearthstone and Rocket League. A League of Legends roster is supposed to follow later this year. That said, Valencia is closing the ranks on European soccer clubs like VfL Wolfsburg, West Ham United, and just recently FC Schalke 04. This picture of an invitation to the official presentation of the esports team shows the logo of Valencia CF esports. It’s a good sign that more and more European soccer clubs are willing to commit to esports. Whereas in North America, a lot of big brands and strong investors have already entered, Europe was lacking the same amount of financial and structural power. Premier sports clubs like FC Schalke 04 or Valencia CF are possibly able to stem against the fear of a brain drain from Europe to North America.
