Support Oskar “VandeR” Bogdan has joined Team Vitality’s starting roster, the organization announced Wednesday. The team’s release stated that VandeR’s addition was part of a strategy, proposed by newly added head coach Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi, to field an all-European roster. The team also confirmed that top laner Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet, jungler Charly “Djoko” Guillard, mid laner Erlend “Nukeduck” Våtevik Holm and AD carry Pierre “Steeelback” Medjaldi have decided to remain with the team. Though VandeR has spent the majority of his LCS career with H2k-Gaming, he spent Spring 2017 with FC Schalke 04 in the EU Challenger Series. While that team went undefeated during the regular season, they failed to earn a spot in the promotion tournament after a 3-1 loss to Misfits Academy in the playoffs. Support and analyst Ha “Hachani” Seung-chan, substitute mid laner Lee “GBM” Chang-seok and head coach Heo “Irean” Yeong-cheol have left the organization. GBM, for his part, was recently announced as eUnited’s mid laner. Vitality finished 7th-8th during the EU LCS 2017 Spring Split with a 3-10 record, avoiding the promotion tournament but missing out on playoffs.
