The opening map of the series was on Train, which is one of SK’s strongest maps and the same map that SK crushed FaZe Clan 16-3 earlier in the quarterfinals. However, VP were in complete control on their CT-side and ended the first half 10-5. However, SK’s CT-side was equally as strong and they forced an overtime, but they ran out of steam and lost the map 19-17. Next up was Cobble, which was VP’s choice in the veto, and SK took a strong start with a 9-6 half. However, VP completely ran away with the second half and only gave up two rounds before they shut down SK to a 16-14 scoreline. The Grand Finals will take place on Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. ET.
