Virtus.pro eliminate SK from ELEAGUE Major, will play Astralis in Grand Finals

[hkes_show_google_ad] Virtus.pro have eliminated SK Gaming from the ELEAGUE Major 2017 as they won the semifinal matchup 2-0 on Saturday. VP now move on to the Grand Finals against Astralis. The opening map of the series was on Train, which is one of SK’s strongest maps and the same map that SK crushed FaZe Clan 16-3 earlier in the quarterfinals. However, VP were in complete control on their CT-side and ended the first half 10-5. However, SK’s CT-side was equally as strong and they forced an overtime, but they ran out of steam and lost the map 19-17. Next up was Cobble, which was VP’s choice in the veto, and SK took a strong start with a 9-6 half. However, VP completely ran away with the second half and only gave up two rounds before they shut down SK to a 16-14 scoreline. The Grand Finals will take place on Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. ET.
