Joining former TSM AD carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng in the 1,000 kill club, WildTurtle earned the final kill he needed on Varus in Game 2 of TSM’s Week 4 series against Echo Fox. In the first game of the series, TSM struggled early game against the ganks of Echo Fox’s Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham on Kha’Zix. They continued to fall behind, but WildTurtle earned four of the five kills he needed on Varus in their 30 minute loss. At 7:40 minutes into Game 2, it finally happened. Finding himself on Varus once again, this time with Vincent “Biofrost” Wang’s Zyra to support him, WildTurtle took down Echo Fox’s Austin “Gate” Yu on Malzahar. After being caught out near TSM’s blue buff by Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen on Lee Sin, WildTurtle and Biofrost closed in from bottom lane and, with a final auto-attack, WildTurtle secured his 1000th kil The Canadian player came tantalizingly close on Saturday, notching 12 kills over two games against Team EnVyUs, leaving him just five kills shy of the milestone. But earning his 1,000th kill was no small feat for the LCS veteran. In his first game with TSM during Week 6 of Season 3 NA LCS Spring, he earned the first pentakill in the NA LCS on Caitlyn which set the tone for his competitive future. WildTurtle stayed on the roster of TSM until the end of the 2015 NA LCS circuit, earning another pentakill in the spring season. After his departure from TSM, WildTurtle joined Immortals. After playing the 2016 NA LCS Spring and Summer Splits with Immortals, scoring yet another pentakill during Week 7 of the summer season, WildTurtle re-joined TSM. He replaced Doublelift, who is currently on a competitive hiatus, as AD carry ahead of the 2017 spring season. Alongside the exact same teammates that helped Doublelift reach his goal in 2016, WildTurtle has earned his place among the elite and lived up to his reputation as the wildest of turtles to grace Summoner’s Rift.
