WildTurtle returns to TSM for the Spring Split after substituting for AD Carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng at IEM Oakland this past November. This is not WildTurtle’s first time on the TSM lineup, as he previously played for the team between February 2013 and December 2015. WildTurtle’s last year with TSM was met with a large amount of success. The team overall won IEM Katowice, the first international tournament win for North America in the LCS era. Further, The team won the 2015 spring split and earned a berth to 2015 Worlds, where they dropped out in the group stage of the competition. WildTurtle’s departure at the end of 2015 was compounded with the departure of Lucas “Santorin” Larsen, as well as the retirement of Ham “Lustboy” Jang-sik and Marcus “Dyrus” Hill from professional play. In the intervening year, WildTurtle was the starting AD carry for Immortals, a team which was composed of fellow storied North American talent in Adrian “Adrian” Ma and Eugene “Pobelter” Park, as well as successful Fnatic duo Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon and Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin. Despite the high expectations of the roster, the team failed to qualify for any domestic finals or international competition with this iteration. WildTurtle joins TSM as a similar player to how he left, with a higher than average percentage of his teams deaths for his position, and extremely high gold per minute average, and an average damage percentage share for the LCS. He joins completely new teammates aside from the ever-present Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, who was his teammate during his previous stint at TSM.
