Support Kwon “Wraith” Ji-min has re-signed with Samsung Galaxy, according to an announcement from the organization Thursday. The team broke the news on their Facebook page. A week ago, the organization announced that the entire roster minus Wraith and substitute top laner Kwon “Helper” Yeong-jae had re-signed with the team. With Wraith on board, the team will enter the 2017 season with seven out of the eight players that made it to the Grand Finals of the 2016 World Championship. Wraith didn’t get many chances to play at Worlds, with the team mostly using Jo “Core JJ” Yong-in at the support spot. But he did play one game as Nami in a win against Splyce and a second as Alistar in a loss to TSM. During the LCK 2016 Summer Season, he played 37 games, averaging a 3.93 KDA and playing mostly Braum, Nami and Alistar. Samsung Galaxy earned their spot at Worlds after running the gauntlet from the second seed, defeating Afreeca Freecs 3-1 before surprising KT Rolster with a 3-2 victory in the finals. Once there, they finished second after a close 3-2 series against SK Telecom T1 after defeating H2k-Gaming and Cloud9 in the playoff bracket.
