Many old school League of Legends pros will compete in the inaugural “Return of the Legends” tournament in Hong Kong in August. Former League of Legends pros from Hong Kong, mainland China and Europe will compete in the event in August, which will also include a KPOP concert. The Europe team includes Peter “Yellowpete” Wuppen, legendary AD Carry for CLG.EU and Evil Geniuses, and Enrique “xPeke” Cedeno, the eventual founder of Origen. It also includes Lauri “Cyanide” Happonen, a member of the Fnatic which won the Season 1 World Championships. Team China includes five former members of Team WE. The returning players are Gao “WeiXiao” Xuecheng, Wei “CaoMei” Handong, Teng-Yang “Ruo” Tian-Xia, Yu “Misaya” Jingxi, and Feng “Fzzf” Zhuo-Jun. The Hong Kong team features four members of the Season 2 world champion Taipei Assassins: Wang “Stanley” June Tsan, Kuan-Po “Lilballz” Alex Sung, Kurtis “Toyz” Lau Wai-kin and Chen “MiSTakE” Hui Chung. The tournament will be played with semifinal matches Aug. 4 and the final Aug. 6 at the Central Harbourfront Event Space in Hong Kong. It appears possible there could be another team added, as the schedule mentions only semifinals, which would not be feasible for only three teams.
